Our mission is to offer affordable, luxury products while being able to give back to the community. We’ve donated 10% of proceeds to charity since our first sale in 2014.
We've continuously supported environmental groups, cancer foundations, female equality, and education & homelessness initiatives, along with specialized giving when the need arises: Earth Day donations, buying gifts for lower income children for the holidays, and most recently helping Ukraine's citizens.
For over eight years, we've been silently giving to numerous charities, but with more customers asking which charities we support, we want to be transparent.
We believe in a healthy, thriving planet and in a world where everyone has freedom and safety.
Unfortunately, for girls in some regions, receiving an education is not only difficult, but it can be incredibly dangerous and life-threatening.
This breaks our hearts. So, we're doing something about it.
In 2012, while on her way to school, Malala Yousafzai was shot by extremists because of her vocal support for girls’ education. After months spent in recovery, she founded the Malala Fund, a women’s empowerment organization, dedicated to ensuring all girls had safe access to education. A year later, in 2014, Malala became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Malala Fund holds a finance and accountability rating of 100 out of 100 from Charity Navigator and a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar – the highest rank possible.
With the aim of global reforestation, One Tree Planted plants trees all over the world. They want to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world.
One Tree Planted holds a Platinum Seal of Transparency by GuideStar. It is the highest rank held by organizations that share all their results and progress. And a 100% rating for impact and results from Charity Navigator.
There's an obligation beyond donating financial resources, and that's to personally minimize our footprint to help the planet heal.
With your support, we've discontinued our use of individual plastic bags for each pillowcase. Still wrapped in recycled tissue paper and elegantly gift-wrapped in gift boxes (made of recycled materials), our pillowcases make wonderful gifts - they just aren't packaged in plastic.
We strive every day to help the planet by:
🌱 Using only recycled paper for our gift boxes and tissue paper
🌱 Recycling all glass, metal, paper/cardboard and plastic at our office and warehouse
🌱 Donating to environmental protection groups since 2014 (over $250,000 to date)
🌱 Never using harmful chemicals during any step of production
🌱 Never throwing away leftover material
🌱 Using fabric scraps for our scrunchies, headbands and eye masks
